Every reply you receive — including templated denials — is preserved. Patterns across many owners' cases may help identify systemic defects that no single complaint can reveal alone.

What this isn't: EV Risk Index does not file your complaint for you. You remain the complainant. We are the custodian of the documentation.

Who should use this

This system is intended for EV owners documenting:

  • Battery thermal events, range loss, or propulsion shutdowns
  • Charging system failures or recurring software defects
  • Manufacturer or dealer correspondence that has gone unanswered
  • Regulator complaint follow-ups

Before submitting your complaint

When you CC the generated email address on correspondence with regulators, dealers, or manufacturers, those emails — including content you write and any attachments — will be stored as evidence in your case file.

  • Emails are stored on encrypted infrastructure with restricted access
  • Personal identifiers are masked in default views and any data shared with lawyers, journalists, or researchers
  • Photos and documents have location data and metadata removed automatically before storage
  • Unredacted originals are released only with your explicit consent or under valid legal process

Recommended: include only the personal information required for the recipient to process your complaint. Never include passwords, banking credentials, payment card details, government identification numbers, or unrelated medical or third-party information in submissions or attachments.

EV Risk Index uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards including encryption at rest, access controls, and audit logging. As with any online service, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Access to identifiable records is restricted and subject to user consent, professional verification, and applicable legal requirements.
