EV Risk Index

Terms of Use

Last updated: June 28, 2026

EV Risk Index is an independent consumer information publication. By using this site and its tools, you agree to these terms.

What EV Risk Index is

EV Risk Index publishes consumer information about electric, hybrid, and conventional vehicles — risk ratings, recall coverage, and tools that help buyers and owners organize documents and ask better questions. EV Risk Index is not a dealer, lender, manufacturer, warranty seller, insurer, or law firm, and has no affiliation that influences its ratings.

Not professional advice

The content on this site, and the output of any tool, is provided for general information only. It is not legal, financial, tax, insurance, mechanical, or regulatory advice. Our tools highlight what appears unclear and the questions worth asking — they do not determine whether anything is legal or illegal, and they do not replace advice from the dealer, lender, warranty provider, manufacturer, regulator, or a qualified professional. Rules vary by jurisdiction and change over time.

Paid tools and reports

Some tools and reports are paid digital products, priced in Canadian dollars and shown before checkout. Payment is handled by Stripe. Delivery and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Documents you upload

You are responsible for the documents and text you submit. Do not upload documents containing other people's confidential information without authorization, and redact anything you do not want analyzed. You confirm you have the right to submit what you upload.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: no unlawful use, no attempts to disrupt or attack the service, no automated scraping or bulk extraction, and no use that infringes the rights of others.

Accuracy and availability

We work to keep information accurate and current, but we make no warranty that it is complete, error-free, or applicable to your situation, and the service may be unavailable from time to time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EV Risk Index is not liable for any loss or damage arising from decisions you make based on the content or tools. You remain responsible for confirming your obligations with the relevant party or a qualified professional before acting.

Intellectual property

The content, design, and tools on this site are owned by EV Risk Index unless otherwise stated. You may read and share links freely; do not copy or republish substantial portions without permission.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
